The Ministry of the Attorney General has procured Thomson Reuters CaseLines for the Ontario Superior Court of Justice. After materials are filed with the court in accordance with the applicable rules of court and Notices to the Profession, CaseLines provides a platform for parties to upload electronic copies of their documents for review by all participants before and during a court hearing.

CaseLines has now been implemented in Toronto Civil, Divisional Court, family and criminal matters and will expand to additional regions shortly.

TLA has arranged for an orientation session from a Thomson Reuters. Betty Montoni, a Certified Trainer, will walk-you through the steps of preparing for and using CaseLines.

The session will be an overview, providing you with the knowledge needed to successfully use CaseLines. This will not be a hands-on session. Lawyers and their staff are welcome to participate.

Please note: If CaseLines Orientation 1 (Lunchtime Session) is not convenient, you may register for our 1st Option on Wednesday, May 5, 2021.

Betty Montoni, CaseLines Certified Trainer Read her bio 

Betty Montoni is an eDiscovery and product specialist at Thomson Reuters in Toronto. She provides consulting to law firms, corporations, and litigation departments of various government branches. Acting as a liaison between Thomson Reuters’ sales professionals and customers, Betty provides extensive knowledge and information to clients regarding Thomson Reuters’ legal solutions including CaseLines Betty has over 25 years of legal experience as a Law Clerk and Litigation Support Manager in a law firm environment.

She has extensive experience in eDiscovery procedures and project management of large litigation files. In her former role at a boutique litigation firm in downtown Toronto, she was involved in the preservation, collection, and processing of documents, along with assisting counsel on all stages of litigation including discovery, mediation, arbitration, and trial both in paper and in electronic format. She has been a presenter on the topic of eDiscovery at several conferences over the course of her career and is accredited as a Certified eDiscovery Specialist and Certified CaseLines Trainer.

  • Members: $25.00 + HST  for TLA Members and clerks, administrative assistants or articling students/licensing candidates from members’ firm
  • Member Licensing Candidates and New Calls: $25.00 + HST
  • Friends of the TLA: $139.00 + HST 
  • Non-Members: $139.00 + HST

Complimentary tickets are not available for Law School Students as we will not be accepting law student registrations.

No refunds after April 29, 2021. An administrative fee of $25.00 will be applied to all cancellations.
