Online Criminal Law Mentoring Program
Program Description
Feeling lost or overwhelmed in your early years of criminal defence? You are not alone.
The early stages of a criminal law career can feel like you are constantly treading water. There is pressure to perform, but little hands-on guidance. You are expected to know how to manage clients, make courtroom decisions, and build a practice, often with no real mentorship.
The truth is, many junior criminal lawyers are unsure where to turn.
Maybe you are working in a small firm or on your own, with no senior lawyer to bounce ideas off. Maybe you are worried about making mistakes that could hurt your client or your reputation. Or maybe you are just craving a space to ask questions without judgment. The stress, isolation, and self-doubt are real, and they can make an already demanding profession feel even harder.
That’s exactly why we created the Online Criminal Law Mentoring Program.
Hosted monthly on Zoom, this program connects you with some of the most experienced and respected criminal defence lawyers in the City of Toronto. Each live session is open, interactive, and designed to help you build skills, gain clarity, and get practical answers, from courtroom strategies and ethical dilemmas to practice management and career planning.
Whether you are just starting out or navigating a tough issue, you do not have to do it alone. We have monthly opportunities where you can participate for FREE as a TLA member.
