TLA EVENTS
One of the foundational tenets of the TLA is Community. We take the responsibility of providing our members opportunities to meet, converse, and network very seriously. To this end, the TLA hosts a number of social events during the year meant to bring TLA members and friends together, including our marquee event, the TLA Awards Gala. Throughout the year, we offer many chances to connect with the Toronto law community. Events like our annual Summer Social, the Bench and Bar New Lawyers Social, author talks and our holiday party are all excellent opportunities to broaden your network.

Education Programs
Upcoming Education Programs
Our goal is to support you in your dual role as lawyer and business owner by providing educational CPD accredited sessions on issues directly affecting you and your practice. These programs are developed and attended by your local colleagues and lawyers from the Toronto area. Subjects such as legal trends, advocacy, legislative & court decisions, as well as practice and firm management guidance are typically covered. Programs are offered in a variety of formats (online, live in-person, hybrid), at convenient times of the day. All are recorded for future web replays.
Web Replays:
Most programs are available as web replays through our partner CPDOnline, as they become available approximately two weeks after the event. While CPDOnline sets their own pricing, TLA members may take advantage of discounts on replays of TLA web replays only.
Research Skills Training
The TLA also presents a range of invaluable hands-on sessions. Professional trainers deliver demonstrations of library resources and popular databases.
This organization has been approved as an Accredited Provider of Professionalism Content by The Law Society of Ontario.
