Sign up for the TLA’s “Create Your Own Articling Position: a Virtual Chat” program on January 15, 2021 to hear from a career services expert and young lawyers who have found creative ways to generate their own articling positions. Both perspectives from the Ontario law school graduate and NCA experience will be covered. 

Learn how to find potential employers, perfect your application materials and improve your interviewing skills.  This program includes a Q&A session, so bring your questions for our speakers!

  • Anna Maria DeCia-Gualtieri, Director of Career Services at the University of Windsor 
  • Margaret Pak, Partner at Walker, Sorenson 
    Margaret is a partner at our firm and practices corporate and commercial law. Margaret’s practice focuses on insurance related matters and she has advised Board members, executives and founders of domestic and international companies on insurance regulatory law, corporate law and specific transactions.

    Margaret also has particular experience in privacy law, and has advised extensively on digital privacy and data governance issues that involve PIPEDA, CASL and the Freedom of Information Act.

  • Sahil Razdan, Associate at Torkin Manes LLP 

    Sahil is an associate in the Corporate Law Group where he provides counsel on data protection, data privacy, intellectual property, SaaS, and information technology law related issues. Sahil works with clients to draft, review, and negotiate contracts, advise on legal and business matters, and facilitate the negotiation and closing of commercial, business, and governmental deals and transactions.  

    Prior to joining Torkin Manes, Sahil served as in-house counsel for two software companies where he provided counsel on all legal matters including data privacy, data protection, IP, IT, SaaS, employment, HR, licensing, and litigation.

  • Jennifer Arduini, Associate Lawyer at Dutton Brock
    Jennifer articled with Dutton Brock before joining the firm as an associate in 2012. She maintains a broad insurance defence practice with particular focus on motor vehicle accident litigation, occupiers' liability, property damage disputes, product liability, prescription error claims, subrogation matters and general negligence claims. Jennifer has represented clients at all levels of court in Ontario. Jennifer is a Director of the Toronto Lawyers Association. She is also the Chair of the TLA's Young Lawyers Committee and she serves as a member of the TLA's Sponsorship Committee. She is also a member of her firm’s Articling Committee.
